Re: Question of portability?

What about "Start at login" option? It needs to write into registry (HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run).
I use a NZbget shortcut in /Startup folder (with other entries), but there are portable ways to do this too :)

Re: Question of portability?

I am thoroughly confused. Here's the thing. Right now on my computer NZBGet is 99.9% portable (meaning the settings are contained in the folder without polluting the rest of the computer). The registry key is the only thing that's left. Regarding your comment about updates - I have the forum RSS'ed ...

Re: Question of portability?

Hi hugbug, sorry to drudge up this thread from the ashes, but I want to make another appeal if at all possible to somehow portabilize the settings in the registry written to o HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\NZBGet Is it at all in the realm of possibility we could somehow force NZBget to write this to a ...

NZBGet creating folder after extraction :(

Hi all, Running NZBGet 18.0-testing-r1841. Happens in non-testing versions for a while. When NZBGet downloads the file and extracts, it puts the file (e.g. movie file for example) in a folder. For example, if the file was called "[HorribleSubs] One Piece - 768 [1080p].mkv" a folder called [HorribleS...

Re: Question of portability?

These three settings control the behaviour of tray icon, a pure windows thing. The config file holds all other settings, which are also used on all platforms. Even if these three settings are not portable, does this makes any troubles? If you don't want to reconfig these settings after reinstall yo...

Re: Question of portability?

Haven't I already answered that question in my previous post? These settings are stored in registry. Oh, lol. I thought the "Put the config file into app directory and you have the portable mode on." meant it would save it in the config file. Was a little confused. Thanks for the quick response. If...

Re: Question of portability?

Hi hugbug, I just did a clean install of Windows 10 and can confirm that the following settings *were not* carried over in the install. Plus, the following registry entries were made, despite the fact that I did everything listed to try and make it portable. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKE...

Offering test versions as zip files?

Title says it all. I realize the next major version will come with auto-check/(+update?) but until then is it possible to add zip or RAR'ed version of the TEST versions to the download page? (http://nzbget.net/download) It would help those of us who manually update portable installations. Currently ...

Re: Importing .NZB files with double click in windows explor

I sent the dev a msg with a link to this thread. I am crossing my fingers he will have the ability/inclination to fork it over to NZbget :)
