Re: Performance Tuning - Tried Everything

After reading over all the topics, the only thing that I had not tried was a new service provider. Thinking that maybe if I could find a provider closer to my location that I might see a better saturation. Initially my setup was Giganews 47 connections, USnetfarm 37 connections and Xs News 27 connec...

Re: Performance Tuning - Tried Everything

Sorry on the Mac along the total speed was roughly 60MB/s using all 50 connections....when I did the simultaneous down load using 25 connections on each the Mac saw 30MG/s and the NAS saw 30MG/s. When I did it on the mac alone and reduced the connections I got roughly the same results as when I did ...

Re: Performance Tuning - Tried Everything

When I tested directly to my MacBook Pro via ethernet I got the same figures. I then used 50% of the connections on my MBP and the other 50% on the Synology, and doing this spilt the download speeds evenly between the two systems in a simultaneous download using the same NZB file.

Any ideas?

Performance Tuning - Tried Everything

Another "I can't saturate my gigabit line question". I am using three different news providers all set at level 0 and I have all three set to use one less connection than their max. I have followed the advice in the performance tuning guides, but it seems that on my Synology 1517+ with 8gb of ram I ...

Performance Tuning with NZBget on Synology and Gigabit

I have been trying to fine tune my NZBget setup and I can not seem to break the 57 MB/s mark. Any thoughts on the configuration would be great. When I am in the middle of a download, I see that the CPU and RAM never are more than 40% utilized. Doing a speed test of my line gives me a 2ms ping and 92...

Re: NZBget for Synology

I posted in another thread a few months back but I don't think anyone actually read that. In case anyone still needs a step-by-step guide to installing NZBget on a Synology NAS, I did this myself (Synology DS916+) a while ago and wrote down every step in detail, so here you go: 01) Uninstall any cu...

UNRAR and File Permission Errors

I got admit, I am really stumped. Recently switched from a synology to a new QNAP box. And I have to say that i am really having issues getting this box to run NZB get. First off I have not found out how to located any of the application files in File Station. But more importantly, I am getting a st...

Issue with Paths and Categories

It seems that I am doing something wrong. I have recently switched from SAB to NZBget. But it seems that no matter what I do I can not get my paths and my categories setup correctly. I have included my screen shots of the config, but it seems that movies are being placed in the following directory:/...
