Re: Python 3, XMLRPC Error: xmlrpc.client.Fault: <Fault 2: 'Invalid parameter (NZBContent)'>

Ah ... https://nzbget.net/api/append says int append(string NZBFilename, string NZBContent, string Category, int Priority, bool AddToTop, bool AddPaused, string DupeKey, int DupeScore, string DupeMode, struct[] PPParameters) ... so ... string NZBContent The documentation is already clear & correct: ...

Re: Python 3, XMLRPC Error: xmlrpc.client.Fault: <Fault 2: 'Invalid parameter (NZBContent)'>

PS: different code style, easie for me to read #!/usr/bin/env python3 # -*- coding: utf-8 -*- import base64 import xmlrpc.client server = xmlrpc.client.ServerProxy('http://nzbget:tegbzn6789@localhost:6789/xmlrpc') #filename="C:\\ubuntu-7.10.nzb" filename="/home/sander/git/sab2/tests/data/reftestnzb....

Re: Python 3, XMLRPC Error: xmlrpc.client.Fault: <Fault 2: 'Invalid parameter (NZBContent)'>

OK, great that it works for you too.

FWIW: I also tried nzbget to also accept <base64> instead of only <string>, but didn't get that working: it resulted in '401 Unauthorized' or something like that

Anyway ... let's see what hugbug has to say about this.

Re: Python 3, XMLRPC Error: xmlrpc.client.Fault: <Fault 2: 'Invalid parameter (NZBContent)'>

OK, I got it working: I tricked the code to convert the base64 bytes to a string ... so that the xmlrpc is again <string>: b64content = standard_b64encode(f.read().encode('utf-8')).decode("utf-8") And now NZBget accepts it. But I wonder what is correct / best: change it on the python3 site, or on nz...

Re: Python 3, XMLRPC Error: xmlrpc.client.Fault: <Fault 2: 'Invalid parameter (NZBContent)'>

That 'Invalid parameter (NZBContent)' is from https://github.com/nzbget/nzbget/blob/develop/daemon/remote/XmlRpc.cpp#L2155-L2160 ... so NZBget doesn't like the second parameter you're feeding. So I fired up Wireshark: python2 call: <params> <param> <value><string>/home/sander/git/sab2/tests/data/ref...

Re: TLS-Socket: error:1408F119:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_RECORD:decryption failed or bad record mac

news.newsgroup.ninja works for me on my Ubuntu

What do you get with if you use in NZBget as newsserver with NTTPS (so: encryption on, port 563):

news.eweka.nl
news.xs4all.nl

And from the CLI:

echo | openssl s_client -connect news.newsgroup.ninja:563 2>&1

Re: TLS-Socket: error:1408F119:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_RECORD:decryption failed or bad record mac

It would be fantastic if you would tell the newsserver and the port you're using.

Re: Can't start NZBGet via SSH

That instruction is incorrect in at least two places.

Why not use the instruction https://nzbget.net/installation-on-linux ?
