[Feature Request] Change priority when using backup-server

Post by tonleurs » 08 Aug 2016, 00:14

I have a very, very slow backup-server (level-1-server). Can you add a option that when I use my backup-server it changes the priority of the downloaded file to 'very low' ?
This way my other downloads in the queue are not slowed down.

That doesn't feel right, at least not in core functionality. Maybe as an extension script. Do you have any experience in script writing? I could give you few pointers specific to this purpose, if you know how to code a little.

I'm sorry, I have no experience in script writing.

This topic http://forum.nzbget.net/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=2408 is trying to achieve the same thing, maxing out bandwidth by starting other nzbs.

Why not just give your fallback-server a lower priority to begin with then?! That way only articles will be downloaded when it's absolutely necessary, and the rest will use your higher-priority server.
