Rename filename according to nzb-name grabbed from indexer

Would like to see a option like FileNaming but then for the unpacked files.

I like to keep my filenames as scene/p2p releases (for several reasons),
but more often on usenet the poster renames the files,
on the indexer or radarr/sonarr results it shows the original filename.
Would it be possible to have the unpacked file also renamed as the nzb indexer name if the file is garbage ?

Script VideoSort can do that (and more).
If you already use Sonarr/Radar they should rename files for you, no scripts should be needed in this case.

Hi, I'm not renaming files from Sonarr only Folders. Is there any syntax to keep the original name?
Thanks

Ditto,
I don't want renamed files i want the scene/p2p naming.
if sonarr/radarr find the file it sends the real name with the nzb file.

so what does this option do in nzbget ?
if it doesn't rename a obfuscated file to the nzb file ?

Option "FileNaming" controls the naming of files downloaded from Usenet. Usually these are archive files (rars). The archives are then usually unpacked and the downloaded files are deleted. Therefore option "FileNaming" usually has little effect.

Files extracted from archives NZBGet leaves with original names, just as the poster have them prepared.

If you don't like the names as you get them from NZBGet (which again doesn't rename extracted files) then in fact you do want renaming. PP-script VideoSort can help, in particular it can rename them to names of nzb-files when using format "%dn".

please ignore it,
i was stupid and got it solved with some help
i just needed to set sonarr/radarr to use the following movie/episode naming
{Original Title}
then it takes the indexer/nzb name it find when doing a search if the filename is scrambled.

thnx

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread but I was wondering if I could use VideoSort/some other script to rename unpacked file as per the NZB name. In a way this is linked to this query I had posted a while back. The issue I am facing with using VideoSort is that it attempts to correspond the unpacked file with movies/tv shows. The files that I would like to use it for do not fall under those categories and are not restricted to videos. All I would like is for them to be named as per the NZB. What can I do in this situation?
