rename filename to nzb name or directory name

Post by TRaSH » 20 Apr 2014, 15:15

is it possible if a filename has a weird name that it renames that file to the nzb name or directory name:

here a example what i mean:

Code: Select all

2014-04-20 12:48:22 INFO     CP Server Thread-5 :: Using nzb_name for release name.
2014-04-20 12:48:22 INFO     CP Server Thread-5 :: Analyzing name u'Serie.S09E18.720p.WEB-DL.DD5.1.H.264-ECI.nzb'
2014-04-20 12:48:22 INFO     CP Server Thread-5 :: Processing E:\ServerFolders\SABnzbd\complete\#TV\Serie.S09E18.720p.WEB-DL.DD5.1.H.264-ECI\186796.mkv (Serie.S09E18.720p.WEB-DL.DD5.1.H.264-ECI.nzb)
so the filename "186796.mkv" should be renamed to "Serie.S09E18.720p.WEB-DL.DD5.1.H.264-ECI.mkv"
before it's processed to sickbeard (i prefer the scene release names)

We have VideoSort script for renaming.
Not sure how it will work with SickBeard together but you can try.

Anyway, I suggest you to report the issue to SickBeard developer.

I'm actually having the same problem, sickbeard isn't able to "recognize" some files downloaded by NZB-GET since the files (and sometimes folders) are composed of random letters and numbers.

I've downloaded VideoSort and verified the installation through NZB-GET settings, but it doesn't seem to be renaming anything either. I'm just stuck with a bunch of randomly named files, but the root folder has the proper file name.

Try using %dn in videosort for the SeriesFormat as naming criteria. That should work, but I'm not sure how to go to sickbeard from there.

Yea, that worked wonderfully, here is my log processing a glee episode (I swear it's for my wife):

Basically, I installed VideoSort, pointed all the directories to the completed download directory, set the TV category, added %dn in front of the series name.
Then in sickbeard I assigned all episodes the category TV
In NZBGet I tagged the TV category to use the videosort post processing script.

Then Sick beard just watches my completed download directory and processes that folder (so it essentially does two levels of processing -- one with nzbget and the other with sickbeard).

I have provided checks for this, and reversed names in nzbToMedia. https://github.com/clinton-hall/nzbToMedia (currently dev branch only)

Also, the same is available in https://github.com/Prinz23/nzbget-pp-reverse as a stand alone script.

@clintonhall:

I didn't found the option for it - is it not on the master branch yet?

No option... It just checks for reversed tags and then renames as needed... This should be in master.

Oh, just tested it and you are correct. Didn't catch any specific logging message regarding the renaming or am i just missing something?
