Found a serious bug in unpack code. Fixed in r1162 (v15-testing). I'm going to release v14.1 with this and few other fixes soon.
This bug occurs ONLY during unpack. To find out if your crashes were caused by this bug check the log-file after a crash (before restarting). The last message is usually "Cancelling unpack for...".

These files are part of nzbget binary, which has to be compiled.

thats good news. i already now mine crashes caused by this
just installed a vm with debian and all the software from youre link. now i only must learning to compile

do have this bug affecting me.
I will compile 1162 and and start testing.
**not sure how to go about compiling this: I don't see a tarball for it--
I see some files with OSX paths in it. Can you tell me what I have to do to get the source so I can recompile on Debain?

Seems nzbget was cancelling those unrar's because it was trying to clean up before quitting.
Now, if you restart the daemon, you'll get two running instances of unrar trying to unrar the same nzb.
Talk about disk thrashing.
Have to kill the unrar's manually.
