Updated from 14.0 to 14.1 on Synology--all scripts gone?

Post by rovingkid » 03 Dec 2014, 00:03

All scripts are gone. /usr/local/nzbget/share/nzbget/scripts is vanilla NZBGet without any of the scripts I had before the upgrade. I do have a settings backup of NZBGet and will try to restore adding all the scripts back but anyone know why this even happened? Is this normal? Or a limitation of the Synology package/distribution of NZBGet?

Thanks!

NZBGet never deletes scripts. That must be either a bug or a limitation of synocommunity package. I recommend you to ask on their issue tracker. If that's a normal behavior a solution (for the future) would be to setup another directory for pp-scripts.

I'll monitor this closely on the next point update. I'll set up another directory right now and then move the scripts in there and see if it happens again on the next update. If not that does it for me. Thanks for the quick response!

It's a synology thing. I always backup my scripts directory before upgrading.

Thanks for letting me know! Will do that from now on as well :). Would be interesting to know if it still happens if you completely change the scripts directory...
