I switched over from using sabnzbd for the last 5 years after having enough of the resource hog python app. My queues in sabnzbd are what I consider larger with at least 1000 nzb's each around 3 to 10 gb. Sabnzbd would consume almost 2 GB of ram loading the queue and simple things like sorting the queue were glacial. In nzbget I have had upo to 1200 nzb's and sorting is near instantaneous by date/size/etc....
I am soo happy the author decided to write this program in an efficient programming language instead of the fashionable tinker toy languages which seem to be the rage these days.
Grabbed 2 100_ GB nzb's last night. Try that in sab.
BTW-I was using sab on a mac pro with 6 GB RAM and dual processors and use nzbget on a windows 7 machine with much more ram but noticed nzbget doesn't consume GB's of RAM like sab does.
Thanks for nzbget!
