Downloads fail, no par check

Post by cestlebon » 28 Oct 2017, 20:52

I just installed the latest version of nzbget on my Synology DS918+ but I'm unable get a successful download.

For example, a download with a health of 99% ends with:
Sat Oct 28 21:57:44 2017 WARNING 44 of 3894 article downloads failed for "file-1080p/file-1080p.mkv"
Sat Oct 28 21:57:44 2017 INFO Collection file-1080p completely downloaded
Sat Oct 28 21:57:44 2017 INFO Queueing file-1080p for post-processing
Sat Oct 28 21:57:44 2017 INFO Pausing download before post-processing
Sat Oct 28 21:57:44 2017 INFO Checking renamed files for file-1080p
Sat Oct 28 21:57:44 2017 INFO No renamed files found for file-1080p
Sat Oct 28 21:57:45 2017 INFO Nothing to par-check for file-1080p
Sat Oct 28 21:57:45 2017 INFO Checking renamed archive files for file-1080p
Sat Oct 28 21:57:45 2017 INFO No renamed archive files found for file-1080p
Sat Oct 28 21:57:45 2017 INFO Nothing to unpack for file-1080p
Sat Oct 28 21:57:45 2017 INFO Moving completed files for file-1080p
Sat Oct 28 21:57:45 2017 INFO Moving file newz[NZB].nfo to /volume1/Media/tv-downloads/file-1080p
Sat Oct 28 21:57:45 2017 INFO Moving file file-1080p.mkv to /volume1/Media/tv-downloads/file-1080p
Sat Oct 28 21:57:45 2017 INFO Moving file _brokenlog.txt to /volume1/Media/tv-downloads/file-1080p
So as the log shows, the file is indeed almost 99% complete but then it says there's nothing to par-check... I've checked the inter folder during the download and two files get created: a NFO and a large file containing main download.

I hope that someone has an idea what's happening here because I have absolutely no idea why there's nothing to unpack/par repair.

I've already tried the following things:

- changed the nzbget folder's permissions to 777
- changed several par settings-
- specified the path to nzbget's unrar
- upgraded to the latest beta.
- started with a new configuration file

Thanks!

Probably because your nzb-file doesn't contain par-files.

Thanks for the quick reply!

I use a website which pushes the NZB to NZBGET. When I manually downloaded the NZB it worked so I started with a "clean" config file again and re-added the site. Now it works again... very strange...

Maybe the site experienced a problem during my migration and I started looking for the problem in NZBGET...?

thanks again.

You can inspect nzb-file in a text editor and check if it contains par-files. Nzbget stores nzb-files in QueueDir (as long as it stays in history or queue).

I inspected the NZBs and there were PAR files listed. But... I'm not able to reproduce the problem anymore, all is working well now. :)
