I've been trying to google this for a while but I'm no closer to an answer.
I have 4 recurring COPY messages in history that quickly balloon the history log to an enormous size. I can delete them but they just show back up no matter what I do. How can I get this madness to end?

Just don't add the same nzb-file multiple times.

I understand how to use NZBGet and Sonarr, I believe it's a bug. My setup is mostly automated. I'm not adding the same NZB multiple times.
I've tried un-monitoring the show in sonarr, and shutting it down, but it's still repeating the same history messages every minute.

Sorry to double post, but I'm running out of ideas here. Sonarr is completely shut down, and yet my history is going nuts. I am not adding any NZBs and I have never done so manually tbh. What should I do to correct this?

Something is sending nzbs to nzbget. Change ControlPort (but don't adjust settings in any other apps) and test for a while.
Also make sure option NzbDir isn't monitoring downloaded files (DestDir).

I changed the control port saved and restarted to verify it was set. I had it set for 3 hours while working and came back only to find the same 4 recurring history messages repeating during that time. Should I consider removing all of the config files and history data and reinstalling NZBget?
When I look at NzbDir, I believe it's set to default:

Change NzbDir to something else. That's for a case if some program puts new files there.
