I followed al3x' guide
here to install NZBget on my Synology NAS.
Only difference, I installed it to USBStick and changed download directories to the NAS volume.
Now I only get errno 13 Permission Denied errors when NZBget tries to write to HDD.

You should check permissions of your new target folder NZBget is trying to write to. Just open File Station and navigate to your folder or share. Right click and choose "Properties".
Make sure there's read/write permission for your new user "nzbget" or at least your new group "sc-download":
That should work

Yes, that was it. Thanks.
I´m still new to this whole DSM stuff.
Why is it that I don´t see the user nzbget under permissions?
Only the sc-download group.

That's a Syno thing. They don't want you to see all the system users but only users you actually created via DSM. I think if you choose a userid below 1024 it won't show up in DSM.
You could've chosen a bigger userid above 1024 (like user "admin" etc.) in /etc/passwd but if you change this now you'll have to set file permissions for your directories again. I personally wouldn't worry though, sc-download is working perfectly
