Error reading server info from disk

Post by Spankth » 19 Feb 2018, 09:56

Hi,

I seem to be regularly getting this error. I saw the old forum post about this a few years and versions back and saw it was to do with not flushing the temporary file to disk.

I run nzbget in a docker container, and got this mostly when I did a reboot on the host, but now am getting it when I save the config, and then reloading nzbget.

Is this a known issue? Is there anyway to recover the queue? What can I do to ensure the changes get written to disk before I reboot, or reload nzbget?

Thanks

This is not a known issue.

It seems important files get corrupted. It's unlikely to be an nzbget fault.
Make sure the directory QueueDir is as near to nzbget as possible - not on remote drive, etc.

Thanks for the reply, it's on a local SSD.

Is there any way I can recover the queue? Anything else I can look at?

Even if it's in local drive is it mapped into docker or belongs to docker file system? I'm not experienced with docker and therefore take this as a guess - if file system is unmounted before nzbget is properly shutdown the files may be corrupted. Check nzbget log-file for errors related to SAVING queue.

There is option FlushQueue in nzbget which should prevent queue corruption on system crashes. But if the system doesn't want to cooperate then even it may be useless.

To restore queue add all nzbs again or restore queue from a backup.
