Hi there
I see a lot of files with failed status, but they not fail. Seems that since 5 days an update is doing this or maybe something else. It seems to me that because 1 article fails first, but is being found probably my second provider, the status is being set to failed . I have attached 2 logs

Thx for a nice program which is very helpfull

What do you mean with "but they not fail"?

See this message:
Fri Jun 08 2018 12:24:30 WARNING 1 of 266 article downloads failed for "Elementary.S06E06.HDTV.x264-LOL-xpost\elementary.606.hdtv-lol.mkv"
The mkv-file is corrupted and the download seems to not have any par2-files to do repair. Therefore the download is failed.

Nope, it didnt fail, arrived in my folder as normal, imported via Sickbeard.
However it seems to be related to Nzb.su, every file I download from there is missing exactly 1 article.
Tried with sabnzbd as well and no errors there, just mention as well 1 article missing.
I use Frugal as main server and have a backup server, and it seems that is is downloading a small portion from backup.
May I take a wild guess that it does have something to do with not RAR compressed files, it happens to all files which dosnt need to be unpacked, just my 2 cent

I've been noticing this lately too. I've had Sonarr downloads apparently fail, but they were still moved to the completed folder location and imported by Sonarr successfully. Couldn't for the life of me figure out why, but now that you mention it seems to be an issue with nzb.su downloads, I think I can corraborate that; all the ones that's have "failed" were from nzb.su.

That's an interesting catch. All last week almost all my downloads have failed. But when I looked at them they they were all actually fine and I had to manually post process. I also use nzb.su.

The log without doubts indicates that elementary.606.hdtv-lol.mkv is broken. One article from 266 articles is missing. That's about 0.4% of the video or about 22 seconds for a typical one hour episode. Have you watched the video from the first second to the last to find out if it has any glitches?

I'm talking about this only file for which you provided the log. I can't tell if "all other files" have the same or a different issue.

Generally, if download has missing articles AND there are no par2-files the download is considered failed because NZBGet doesn't know which files are important and which are not. In the case of elementary.606.hdtv-lol.mkv the missing article is insider that video file and that download is damaged.

How did you know they were fine? Missing 20 seconds can't be noticed without watching the whole video. This missing part can also be in closing credits.

That's a good point, I watched it and it looked fine to me. I have never had every single file fail before, something changed in the past two weeks.

To be sure, I took the same NZB and downloaded it with another program and it completed fine. I did a hash check and they do match. So there are 2 issues here.

NZBGet isn't downloading everything, for some reason almost all my downloads on NZBGet show 99%/100% and 1 file missing but the download is actually fine.

If the file is failed, why is NZBGet putting it in the competed folder? It shouldn't move if it failed.

I am having the same exact issue, only with new releases, also using nzb.su.

Have you resolved the problem? I could use some help as well. I have the same issue as the OP here. Using v20.0 and nzb.su is successfully getting the files but reporting to nzbget as a failure after unpacking. Files unpack and play fine just show up red due to this warning message in the unpack log:

WARNING 1 of X article downloads failed for "somefile.mkv"

Where X is usually 2 but sometimes a huge number. So it's like nzb.su has some issue where nzbget thinks it's missing a piece but it isn't, then reporting failure even though it unpacks the file just fine.

This is not DMCA takedowns though it does seem to only happen with new releases/shows though I ping every 15 minutes and have always got ahead of the takedowns.

Only started seeing this issue this week with 20.0 though I can't say if it's nzbget or nzb.su causing the issue.

I'm having this issue on both 19.1 and 20.0.

For the log from the first post I explained why the download failed.
For all other failures I can't tell without logs.

Can also mean the other program failed to indicate failure properly. Once again without log I don't know what file was damaged. Downloads usually include other non-video files; if a missing article was from such file the video-file may be OK yet the download as a whole is failed.

That is indeed a bug, occurs when failed download doesn't have par2-files nor archive files. This is a rare case, and that explains why the bug wasn't noticed sooner. Not a big issue though since the download status is set correctly. Will be fixed of course.
