Post by binreader » 30 Jun 2018, 20:14

after upgrade to 20.0, periodically get this error message and nzb crashes and have to restart it , on windoze 10 64 bit. never encountered this error before in any version. seems to happen when que is empty or items are paused. never happens while things are in progress.

from error log shows:

Sat Jun 30 15:59:05 2018 ERROR Unhandled Exception: code: 0xC0000005, flags: 0, address: 0xBA88

since installing the debug test version have not seen another crash for couple days, but on stable it was crashing every 8 or 10 hours it seemed.

I'm seeing the same: Periodic crash with release version every few days, absolutely stable with debug version.

It's reminiscent of a time when I was working on a bug in a multi-threaded application. It would randomly crash. Debug version was fine. So I sprinkled OutputDebugString (Windows) messages into the release version. Crashing went away. Turns out the OutputDebugString messages synchronized the competing threads and resolved the problem.

Meanwhile, I continue as proscribed to run the debug version of nzbget in hopes of capturing the issue.
