Hi,
This is my first post, I'm very much a novice in this area so please bear with me.
My problem is NZBGet version 20.0 has stopped downloading files sent to queue. All has been working fine until I changed internet provider - I'm now with BT (in UK).
The error reported in NZBGet is:
Could not resolve hostname NEWS.NEWSHOSTING.COM: ErrNo -3, Temporary failure in name resolution
I have no idea what has caused this but can only assume I need to change a setting to facilitate new broadband provider or is Newshosting.com blocked by BT?
My setup is:
Synology DS215j, DSM 6.2.1-23824.
Using Couchpotato and Sonar with NZBGet to download via Newshosting.com.
Many thanks in advance

Your NAS seems to have troubles with DNS, it may try to use DNS server from your old provider.
Have you restarted NAS after changing provider?

Many thanks for such a quick reply.
I've restarted NAS several times with no luck.
I'll have a read up on the old DNS server option you mentioned - at the moment it means nothing to me but I'll have a read and see whatr I can do.
Cheers

Many thanks for pointing me in the right direction of DNS.
I know know a tiny bit about it.... enough to google search an answer. Seems the settings were a bit askew. Fortunately this poster hit the nail on the head:

OK I think I know where your problem may be.
1. Check your network settings:
Control Panel -> Network -> General
Most likely your Default Gateway changed since it's on BT Home Hub: 192.168.1.254
You may have most likely the most common one which is: 192.168.1.1
So either change it or just uncheck the "Manually Configure DNS Server" and click APPLY.
2. Go to the 2nd tab "Network Interface" -> select LAN -> EDIT -> and make sure you select "Get network configuration automatically DHCP".
Click OK and you will see that the "Gateway" and "DNS Server" changed to 192.168.1.254
What you don't want is to have your Diskstation IP address changed every time it connects so after you got everything running and your Diskstation is connected to Net and working, change your IP address to static, let's say: 192.168.1.200 which is easy to remember.
Tadaaa and you should be running now fine! 8) 8) 8)"
Back to normal for me now
