Nzbget on Linux not reading passwords from nzb metadata

Post by Dabadans » 27 Apr 2019, 18:13

Hello,

running nzbget 20.0 on Archlinux (and for testing purposes on a fresh Ubuntu 18.04 virtual machine) I cannot get nzbget to add the nzb password from the file, even tho it is included as metadata.

The syntax in the file is:

Code: Select all

<head><meta type="password">actualpassword</meta></head><head><meta type="password"></meta></head>
Nzbget for Windows is adding the password just fine, while the log is exactly the same as on the Linux setups.

On Archlinux, I tried both the stable 20.0 version from the Archlinux repository, and v21 from the Archlinux AUR (nzbget -git). For Ubuntu I used this ppa: https://launchpad.net/~modriscoll/+arch ... ntu/nzbget

Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards,

Dabadans

Your nzb-file contains two meta-tags for password. The second password is empty password.

NZBGet on Windows and on Linux use different xml-parsers. It seems on Windows the first tag is read and on Linux the second. I can't tell which one is better.

The nzb-file is clearly badly formed and this needs to be fixed.
