Automatically build history from RSS feed?

Post by mtnman » 21 Aug 2019, 22:16

Is there any way to have NZBGet check an RSS feed every 30 minutes or so and keep a list of all items posted over the last 3-5 days? I do NOT want to download NZB's or shows automatically. I want to choose which shows to download from the RSS feed.

Most RSS feeds are limited to about 50-100 items, which means I miss shows if I'm out of town for a day or two.

The "FeedHistory" option seems like it might do this, but I don't see a way to check the RSS feed automatically without downloading NZB's.

Copy each fetch and append to a xml file using an RSS Feed script.

Feed1 > Fetched every x mins from where ever and appended to feed.history.xml
Feed2 > Fetched 0 mins (never) and points to feed.history.xml

If you save the feeds.history.xml in the nzbget/webui/ directory you can use this address as the feed url:
http://localhost:6789/feeds.history.xml

This whole issue goes away if you use NZBHydra2 and its API as an RSS feed source.
