Issues with Unpacking files

Post by Beezie » 09 Jan 2020, 00:37

Okay, so I see this pop up a lot and I am not sure what the answer is.
I believe it to be permission issues, but I have tried several steps and nothing helps.

I am running Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS, and I am running Docker.
I have a Seagate NAS 220, which is mounted in the /home/albert/MediaShare/ folder.
I have mounted the drives from the /etc/fstab using the following CIFS syntax.

Code: Select all

//192.168.1.63/MediaShare/Series /home/albert/MediaShare/Series cifs user=Albert,password=*****,uid=1000,gid=999,forceuid,forcegid,vers=1.0,iocharset=utf8,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777,noperm 0 0
I can create test files in the mounted directories with no issue from user interface and terminal.
However, I believe the unpacked file never makes it to my NAS.

Okay so onto my NZBget errors.

Code: Select all

ERROR	Wed Jan 08 2020 19:18:09	Unpack for The.Walking.Dead.S10E08.The.World.Before.720p.AMZN.WEB-DL.DD.5.1.H.264--Obfuscated failed.
ERROR	Wed Jan 08 2020 19:17:42	Could not delete temporary directory /home/albert/MediaShare/Series/The.Walking.Dead.S10E08.The.World.Before.720p.AMZN.WEB-DL.DD.5.1.H.264--Obfuscated/_unpack: No such file or directory
ERROR	Wed Jan 08 2020 19:17:42	Unrar error code: 9
So from this it looks like it cant even create a temporary directory and unpack the file. Is this a permission issue in my user directory? I am not sure.
However I did add myself to the docker group and made sure the docker group was pretty much attached to EVERYTHING in my /home/albert directory. Not sure if that's best practice...but i have no F%*@king idea what else to try.

Code: Select all

drwxrwxr-x 2 albert docker 4096 Jan 8 19:30 tmp
Okay so I need some eagle-eyed guru to tell me what i am doing wrong. Pretty sure all my paths are set correctly in nzbget settings. Help?

Thanks,

Anyone wanna take a crack? I am really confused on what it could be.
I tried to recompile and check all my settings, the only thing I corrected was the PGID=999 to match the docker group in Ubuntu.

That didn't help though. What else could it be? I'm debating just blowing away the whole install and reloading Ubuntu.
