New scheduler command?

Post by dalrun » 29 Nov 2008, 20:53

I've been testing scripts that check for / fetch new nzb's. While cron would work, it would be nice if I could schedule a script call from nzbgetweb. I don't know if that would mean defining a new NZBGet variable or if there is somewhere else a command option could be defined.

I guess you mean the new scan command?
I think this will be a new button to click in future nzbgetweb.
At this time I stop and start the daemon to fetch new nzb's.
Works great. :)

How often the script should be called?

Nzbgetweb 1.3 has a scheduler function that allows you to schedule pause, resume and KBps commands. I'd like to schedule a script that tracks select TV shows and automatically downloads the nzb-files for new episodes.

Because of the NzbsRus.com limit of 100 records per page, it may be that it needs to be called twice a day... I haven't played with NZBMatrix.com yet, I see that their limit is 50 records per page. It's unfortunate that the ShowDates.com database is flawed/corrupted, its a great concept and once a day would be fine.

Implemented in r262:
Added command <Process> to scheduler option <TaskX.Command>; replaced options <PostLogKind> and <NzbLogKind> with new option <ProcessLogKind> which is now used by all scripts (PostProcess, NzbProcess, TaskX.Process).

Example:

Code: Select all

Task1.Time=22:58
Task1.Command=Process
Task1.Process=/home/user/taskprocess.sh

Motivation to upgrade from r247 :)... Tested and working, thank you.
