To install the server follow README fron nzbget. To Install the web-interface - README from nzbgetweb.

While the README's will do the trick, getting all the needed libraries and packages needed to compile nzbget can be a pain. Is there some way nzbget could packaged to be more accessible, e.g. as a bin, run or RPM? Its not a big deal for me but I wonder if I could make it easier for others using my distro or architecture (e.g. i386).

If someone could provide me with binary packages for any platforms, I would add them to file area.

I am not familiar with techniques for creating binary packages and cannot provide any myself, except for optware (and it already contains nzbget-packages which I keep up-to-date).

I haven't figured out how to package nzbget as an rpm but I did discover that I could reuse the executable. I have no idea how reusable it is but I have posted it at http://dalrun.com/Linux/Software/#1563. It was built on Mandriva 2007 and works fine on Mandriva 2008 spring.
