I've updated my script to merge Avi files (including subtitles)

I'm impressed (what do you do for a living?). Do you mind if I reuse some of your code (e.g. for an avimerge sub)?

Help yourself to what you want from the script :)

I nealy got caught out with adding the subtitles because I forgot you have to
offset by the length of the previous avi - Doh! The external merge library I was using allowed you to specify a gap but I would still have to dig around inside the subtitles,
to work out what the gap should be - that's why I decided to just process the subtitles myself. There will probably be missing formats though, but I think I got the main ones.

PS I'm a network & systems management consultant but I like coding best :)

@ydrol
your script is great. two things:
1. you save backups of rar files in a hidden directory .quickBackup - but it doesn't get deleted once everything extracted successfully, even with the option set to delete rars. I had been wondering where all my hdd-space went till i found those directories.

2. it would be nice to delete the nzb files after successful processing, I think.

Fixed now .. http://www.prodynamic.co.uk/nzbget/nzbget.html
Script is getting a lot longer than I envisaged! :)

@Dave, ydrol:
I added the links to your scripts to home page - http://nzbget.sourceforge.net/#Postprocess

This thread is getting longer :)
Don't you think about starting the separate threads to discuss your scripts?

@likeatim:
do you have a working bash-script? I could add a link (or its source, if it is not too long) to home page too.

@ydrol
I think it makes more sense to delete nzb files after successful processing, not after a certain time, otherwise it's confusing.

@hugbug
I wouldn't like to post my script as I had never worked out to extract nested rars. ydrol's solution is the best I encountered so far...

Hi,

I like to keep the nzb's around for a while in case I need to revisit them for some strange reason.

What I can do is
1) Rename nzb from *.queued to *.completed, if successfull and also.
2) Add an option to delete *.completedNzbs after 'n' days (where 'n' can be 0 - ie immediately)

@ydrol
Recently had a two cd movie. Merging went fine, but the subtitles (idx,sub) were out of sync after half the movie...

Hi,

1. Does this always happen? Or does it mostly work for other movies?
2. Email me privately the movie & release id
