Slow performance?

Post by Juice » 23 Dec 2008, 09:32

I'm considering to get a Conceptronic CH3SNAS (standalone NAS), and read that NZBGet runs quite nicely on that, so I'd figured to give it a try first on my current home server (Gentoo Linux).Installation was easy, but my download speed never gets above +/- 800 KB/s. I'm on a 20 mbit connection, and SABnzbd on the same server with the same settings easily does around 1700 KB/s, the maximum for the connection. Why is NZBGet only getting half of that?

Server is an AMD Sempron 2800+ (1.6 Ghz) with 1 GB RAM, and runs at a load of 0.00-0.01 during the download, so server performance shouldn't be the issue...

Other relevant NZBGet info:
- tried 0.5.1 and o.6.0-r269 with their respective web interface, same results
- set up 5 newsservers with 2 connections per server
- ContinuePartial=no
- Decode=yes
- DirectWrite=yes (tried with 'no' as well. same results)
- CrcCheck=yes
- DownloadRate=0
- WriteBufferSize=-1
- InfoTarget=none
- DetailTarget=none
- ParCheck=yes
- ParRepair=yes
- no postprocessing used

Any idea's?

Oh, and just in case it matters, NZBGet runs in daemon mode.

Please post you complete config file (wipeout login/passwords). You probably set options "ServerX.Level" icorrectly.

Well.. that was silly *blush*

Thanks for the quick reply, and you were absolutely right. Got overexcited with copy/pasting, and all were set to Server1.xxx

Cheers!
