FailureLink.py permission denied

Post by tymanthius » 07 Mar 2014, 20:15

So I have FailureLink.py from Dog. I like the idea of the script.

However, I am constantly getting 'permission denied' when it tries to run.

Permission have even be set on the file to 777, with no change.

If I run "./FailureLink.py" from CLI, permission denied.

If I run "python ./Fialurelink.py" it runs (complaining that I didn't call it from nzbget)

I'm wondering if it tried to grab from a directory or file w/ odd permissions? Looking over the file now, but I don't know python.

I'm stumped.

EDIT: If I "sudo ./FailureLink.py" I get no output. :/

Well this is not a script you should run directly. You need to add it to your scripts folder in my case ~/.nzbget/ppscripts and add it to nzbget as a postprocess script. Then it will run when it is supposed to which is after a download.

Yea, I know, but it would give the permission denied error in NZBGet.

BUT . . . I figured it out! I stuck all my nzbget dirs on the same drive where my videos were b/c I was being lazy. That drive is mounted w/ a 'no execute' option!

Didn't realize that. I think I'll leave it that way and just move the ppscripts path. :)
