Got it. Thanks. :)

I have a few series that get thrown into different folders depending on the naming conventions used by the file. For example, I have some of the following folders:
  • Childrens Hospital
    Childrens Hospital Us
    Louie
    Louie 2010
    Tosh 0
    Tosh.0
    Whose Line Is It Anyway
Whose Line Is It Anyway Us
I would like to see an area in the script where you could add simple tv series rules for renaming. This way I could configure a bit and say
If guessit determines the series name is exactly "Louie", rename it to "Louie 2010".
or vice versa

Sorry if this has been requested earlier in the thread!!! I couldn't find any similar requests on first glance.

Is this automatically distributed with the NZBGet source code? Is it installed when I do `make install` ?

Make a function similar to "apply_dnzb_headers" and call it afterwards in function "guess_info".
For series (guess['vtype'] == 'series') the show name is in "guess['series']", that's where you should replace it.
For movies the movie name is in "guess['title']".

Suggestion: make this feature general - add a new option which points to a file holding replacement rules (for example name it "ProperNamesFile"). It can have a simple format like this:

Code: Select all

Childrens Hospital=Childrens Hospital Us
Louie=Louie 2010
...
Send me your version when you have it done.

No, it's a separate script. Please see the first post of this topic.

Would be nice if this was part of nzbget or at the very least in its own github repo somewhere.

I created a mirror of the VideoSort code on github here:
https://github.com/rcdailey/videosort

I am happy to transfer ownership of this to you hugbug should you be interested in it. Otherwise, I will keep this updated as I can for easy upgrading of the videosort script on my server.

Just switched from SAB to NZBGet a few days ago.
GUI is nicer, modern. Love the speed of it as well. Running it on a Synology DS412+

Installed VideoSort script which runs well for single movie files (mkv, avi, etc) but with DVD's (VIDEO_TS folders) it does not run.
Is this a limitation or am I doing something wrong?

Sorry, that's a limitation of the script. It supports only video-files, not folders.
