TLS Handshake failed for newsgroup

Post by caddy » 13 Mar 2018, 16:10

Hey guys, I am at a bit of a loss for what is going on. I use NZBget on my windows 10 machine all the time with newsgroup ninja and never have any issues max speed no errors.

I have been using sab for awhile on my linux media machine and thought I would switch over to nzbget. i installed both the 19.1 and the 20.0 testing branchs and I am getting the same error. I tried specifying ciphers and still always a error.

TLS handshake failed for news.newsgroup.ninja I have confirmed my settings between windows and linux and they are all identical.

windows downloads at 15MB/s
Linux downloads at 1MB/s

I know this is a SSL/TLS issue but I have no idea how to resolve it, RC4-MD5 is what is the fastest I know but it seems like it is now disabled or something. any help would be great.

if you need more info let me know not sure what else to show.

using Ubuntu 16.04
kernal 4.4.0-116-generic

So ... remove RC4-MD5 as cipher; do not specify any cipher.

Then try again.

Go into Security and change the CertCheck to No and remove the Cipher
