Failed Downloads are still moved to Completed folder

Post by flocons.de.mais » 03 May 2018, 03:57

Hi Guys,

Brand new to the forum - I registered specifically for this particular problem, which I can't seem to figure out, at least through the settings. I've been using NZBGet for years, but the problem only start happening these past few months.

It seems that some downloads fail because of the health of the file available at the time. For some reason, nzbget reports it as "failed", and I can see it as such in the history, but still moves it to the completed folder. This is causing an issue for my Sonarr, which is processing the file. The file is corrupt, and I have to download it manually again.

Is there a way to force failed downloads to be deleted?

Thank you guys in advance.

Flo.

Hi all,

Also new to the forum. Just registered because I have the exact same problem and also can't figure out a solution.

In my case, the problem occurs specifically for usenet posts that have not been rar'd and which don't include a par2 set. If I understand things correctly, in this case the download is continued and processed even where there are missing articles, in case par2 files are available but misnamed.

I've been trying to look at 2 solutions but haven't been able to find a way to implement them:
1) Somehow configure my indexers in sonarr to only accept posts with par2 files in the nzb.
2) Change the behaviour of NZBget so that failed downloads are always deleted instead of moved to the destination folder.

I'm probably just overlooking some setting which governs how NZBget deals with failed downloads, but I can't seem to find it. Hopefully someone here could point in the right direction.

Thanks so much for looking at this.

In the history overview page, the status is set to "failure".

For the detailed history information, it doesn't show much interesting besides that no par operations were carried out and nothing was unpacked.

I'm also seeing this issue.

This is what I see on my History:
XXXXXX-Fail.png
XXXXXX-Fail.png (8.34 KiB) Viewed 3399 times
On the details for that file we get
XXXXXX-Fail.png
XXXXXX-Fail.png (8.34 KiB) Viewed 3399 times
as you can see, even though it failed, it emailed success and reported nzbtosickeard that it was successful.

This is likely related to the issue in https://forum.nzbget.net/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3235 as these are all nzb.su xpost.

What I see is that initial download gets this health error and the file is corrupted. There is generally a spot at the beginning where its pixelated or skips. If I redownload the same file again after a few hours, it will complete normally and file plays with no glitches.

it emailed success and reported nzbtosickeard that it was successful.
Script status SUCCESS means the scripts were executed successfully, it doesn't mean the download has succeeded. The scripts have a chance to react differently on successful and failed downloads.

If it generates this warning

Code: Select all

Thu Jul 05 2018 18:53:37	WARNING	126 of 4478 article downloads failed for "Xxxxxx.S03E08.1080p.HDTV.H264-MTB-xpost/xxxxxx.s03e08.1080p.hdtv.h264-mtb.mkv"
then why does it subsequently say

Code: Select all

Thu Jul 05 2018 18:53:37	INFO	Collection Xxxxxx.S03E08.1080p.HDTV.H264-MTB-xpost completely downloaded
and move the file?

Code: Select all

Thu Jul 05 2018 18:53:38	INFO	Moving file xxxxxx.s03e08.1080p.hdtv.h264-mtb.mkv to /home/user/Downloads/sickbeard/Xxxxxx.S03E08.1080p.HDTV.H264-MTB-xpost
What's weird is nzbToSickbeard says

Code: Select all

Thu Jul 05 2018 18:53:39	INFO	nzbToSickBeard: [18:53:39] [INFO]::MAIN: Download failed with status FAILURE/HEALTH.

but then it determines the file isn't corrupt:

Code: Select all

Thu Jul 05 2018 18:53:39	INFO	nzbToSickBeard: [18:53:39] [INFO]::TRANSCODER: Checking [xxxxxx.s03e08.1080p.hdtv.h264-mtb.mkv] for corruption, please stand by ...
Thu Jul 05 2018 18:53:39	INFO	nzbToSickBeard: [18:53:39] [INFO]::TRANSCODER: SUCCESS: [xxxxxx.s03e08.1080p.hdtv.h264-mtb.mkv] has no corruption.
Thu Jul 05 2018 18:53:39	INFO	nzbToSickBeard: [18:53:39] [INFO]::MAIN: Found Valid Videos. Setting status Success
